1. Brush Your Teeth Twice a Day

• How to Brush: Use a soft-bristled toothbrush and fluoride toothpaste. Hold the toothbrush at a 45-degree angle to your gums, and brush in gentle, circular motions to remove plaque. Avoid harsh, back-and-forth scrubbing, which can wear down enamel.

• Duration: Aim to brush for at least two minutes each time to thoroughly clean all surfaces of your teeth—inside, outside, and chewing surfaces.

• Replace Your Toothbrush: Change your toothbrush every 3-4 months or sooner if the bristles are frayed. A worn toothbrush is less effective at cleaning teeth.

2. Floss Daily

• Importance of Flossing: Flossing removes food particles and plaque from between the teeth and under the gumline, areas that brushing alone can't reach. This helps prevent cavities and gum disease.
